Before me and my girlfriend started training with Teresa, we barely knew our way around the gym and very much stuck to our comfort zones; like many others, the free weights section was an area we wouldn’t dare step foot in. After just over a year of training together, our attitudes and confidence in the gym are worlds away from how it used to be. Not only do we know how to do the big three lifts (deadlift, squat and bench) now, we’re able to beat personal bests almost every time we do max testing, and powerlifting competitions are even on our radar, something neither of us would have dreamed of before. All of this is thanks to T’s endless support and encouragement, providing us with programs that are tailored to help us move in the directions we want to go in, and always a text away if we want to change things up on the fly.

The programs that she writes us change monthly to focus on improving specific parts of our lifts or targeting smaller and harder to work muscle groups. We also are able to work doing what we find the most fun, which for us is a mix of powerlifting and calisthenics. We definitely wouldn’t have started learning to handstand on our own, but Teresa has a great way of slowly introducing exercises that build up confidence and strength allowing these things to become possible. She is also a lovely person, reminding us of how far we have come and is very respectful of any boundaries that you may have in regards to health, diet and exercise. Overall, our experience with Teresa over the past year has been an overwhelmingly positive one and our training sessions together are one of the highlights of the week! I’d recommend her in a heartbeat!

Reflecting on my fitness journey, it’s impossible not to attribute my success to Teresa, an exceptional personal trainer whose expertise and guidance have been instrumental. Our 18 months of training together laid a solid foundation, and the subsequent 9 months of applying her teachings on my own have solidified my transformation. When I began with Teresa, my physical condition was dire, post-COVID. Simple activities left me in pain, and my confidence in my body’s abilities was at an all-time low. Teresa’s deep understanding of body mechanics and her ability to tailor workouts around my injuries were game-changers. She provided not just training but a holistic approach to recovery and strength building. Under her guidance, I achieved what seemed impossible: squatting multiples of my body weight “ass to grass,” improving my mobility to a point where my climbing skills saw remarkable improvements, and even returning to running with a newfound appreciation and technique. Six months ago I was very overweight and really self conscious about stepping through the gym door. I couldn’t run, squat, or lift any kind of weight.

Now I’m 4 stone lighter and able to do things I never thought I could do.

Every session is fun, varied and Teresa just gets the balance right between pushing you hard but not overwhelming you. She is also just a little a bit bonkers - which for me is brilliant!

I can’t recommend Teresa enough.

She is really knowledgeable in terms of body mechanics and works around any injuries you have. I more than doubled my squat PB which is something I never thought would be possible after tearing my meniscus a couple of years ago.

She nails form and will iron out any bad habits so you feel safe in the knowledge that you’re doing the right movement. (She’ll also make you dance, form there is a bit off still)

The sessions constructed around the program are great fun and she’ll definitely challenge you.

If you’re thinking of signing up with her, stop! Just do it. You really won’t regret it.

Two years ago I struggled to walk. One knee has irreparable damage and arthritis. I was advised a knee replacement was the only option. I have recently completed the 2nd lockdown workout sessions with Teresa. I can't believe how much my flexibility and strength have increased. I was given alternative exercises where the injury still causes issues but achieved squats, press ups and a whole variety of movements I never thought possible. I can walk for miles, my posture and alignment have improved significantly and my leg muscles now support my knee rather than deteriorating with it.
